Common crypto scams and how to avoid them
2 min readIn short
Most crypto losses come from a handful of tricks: fake support, fake airdrops, look-alike websites and copycat coins. If something is urgent, secret or too good to be true, stop.
Fake support
Someone messages you to fix a problem and asks for your seed phrase or to connect your wallet to a site. Real support never does this.
Fake airdrops and giveaways
Send a little, get a lot back. You never get anything back.
Look-alike sites
A link that looks like arkhampad.com but isn't. Type the address yourself or use a bookmark.
Copycat coins
A second coin with the same name and ticker. Always check the contract address.
FAQ
I sent money to a scammer. Can ArkhamPad get it back?
Blockchain transfers can't be reversed. Report the account where you met the scammer and warn others.
