Should you be the first buyer of your coin?

2 min read
In short

When you launch you can buy some of your own coin in the same step. It shows you believe in it and puts you first on the curve. It is optional, and you can lose that money like any buyer.

Why creators do it

An early buy means the chart doesn't start empty, and it gives you a stake in the coin's success.

Keep it modest

A creator holding a big share scares buyers away, because they worry you'll sell on them. The safety check on the coin page shows how much the creator holds.

Combine it with a lock

A launch buy plus a creator lock tells buyers you can't dump on them in the first hours.

FAQ

Do I have to buy?

No. You can launch with zero and let others buy first.

Can I sell my launch buy?

Yes, unless you chose a creator lock. Then you can sell after the lock ends.
